Watch Nicaragua’s first-round presentation on the preliminary objections raised by Germany in the case initiated by Nicaragua against Germany concerning Alleged Breaches of Certain International Obligations in respect of the Occupied Palestinian Territory (Nicaragua v. Germany) at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). This session took place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The hearings, held September 7 to 10, comprised a first and a second round of oral argument. Each Party was allocated a period of three hours for its first round. Each Party was given a maximum of one and a half hours to present its reply as part of the second round of oral argument. Nicaragua’s second round can be found here.
